“James 1:9-16 (Good News Translation)” by Connie Beingessner.

James 1:9-16

Loving Divine Family,

Thank you for your invitation to participate in your mystery. You call us by name. We feel a sense of belonging in your presence, though we are of humble circumstances. We see the rich, those who have plenty and who want for nothing. We have been tempted, wanting what they have. But you remind us that our eternity is sealed, and we will be with you forever.

Loving God, thank you for being with us and helping us through our trials. Thank you for speaking to us. Thank you for the support and invitation to be aware of our motives and desires. Thank you for the warning not to be tempted by the Father of Lies. Give us ears to hear your truth and love; give us awareness of our evil desires and eyes to see a way out from our temptations.

I seek you in my circumstances today, Great Mystery, and thank you for…

We give you thanks, meeting us in our circumstances and challenges of this life and giving us all we need for each day. You give us hope to remain with you. In your presence, we have no temptation or hardship that cannot be overcome. Your blessings are new and continuous each day. We will receive your blessings and journey together in a good way.

With joy we praise you!

Amen!
