Ninth Week of Ordinary Time, Friday, August 4, 2023

Psalm 145:8-9, 14-21

Loving Divine Family,

We return to your sacred prayer space, O LORD, for you are gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love. You draw near to us, revealing your covering of salvation over us. 

We joyfully sing your praises, our Righteous, Faithful God. Thank you for being extravagant in your love, and giving us your graciousness and compassion. You hear us when we call out to you. You answer and save us. Thank you for caring and providing for us and the rest of your creation.

I feel content by the work of your hands in my life today, O LORD, and thank you for…

You uphold and lift us when we are weak. Your faithfulness to your promises is complete. You fulfil our desires; you fill us to overflowing. Watch over us always. Protect us from the arrogant and oppressors. We will sing of your love forever.

With joy we praise you!

Walk with us through our days on this earth. Cast us not from your presence. We will return goodness to those who cross our paths. We will share in times of famine and harvest honourably. One thing we ask; this is what we seek–to dwell in the house of the LORD all our days. May our descendants bury us in the land you promised long ago, beneath Ancient Faith-markers. And may we always remember your faithfulness to us. Clothe our children and grandchildren in the same armour of your light, throughout the generations.
