Acts 7:9-16 (Message) read by Mark Beingessner

Acts 7:9-16

Loving Divine Family,

We enter your sacred prayer space seeking you. We are perplexed and amazed by your providence in our lives, but also pressed on all sides by circumstances beyond our understanding. We feel you draw near to us. LORD, why do we feel pressed and crushed by unfair circumstances? You remind us of the benefits far greater than our circumstances in Joseph’s life experience. You have provided wise Elders who help us to see the path you are preparing for us.

O Faithful One, you keep your promises. Your blessings are for everyone. Your ways are not our ways. You know better than us. You know the way. Thank you for preparing us for what is next. Thank you for your personal interest in each or our lives.

I meditate on your perfect path for me today, Loving LORD, and thank you for…

Your ways are not our ways, LORD. We remember to remember that our pressing and difficult circumstances are part of your refining mystery in our lives. You know better than we do what lies ahead and what we must prepare for. We let go of the need to know why, so we can participate in your mystery and greet each other in a good way.

With joy we praise you,

Amen!
