Psalm 91:1-2, 9-16
Those who go to God Most High for safety
    will be protected by the Almighty.
I will say to the LORD, “You are my place of safety and protection.
    You are my God and I trust you.”

The LORD is your protection;
    you have made God Most High your place of safety.
Nothing bad will happen to you;
    no disaster will come to your home.
[The LORD] has put [God’s] angels in charge of you
    to watch over you wherever you go.
They will catch you in their hands
    so that you will not hit your foot on a rock.
You will walk on lions and cobras;
    you will step on strong lions and snakes.

The LORD says, “Whoever loves me, I will save.
    I will protect those who know me.
They will call to me, and I will answer them.
    I will be with them in trouble;
    I will rescue them and honor them.
 I will give them a long, full life,
    and they will see how I can save.”
(New Century Version (NCV))

Loving Divine Family,

We enter your sacred prayer space and feel the safety of your embrace. You are our refuge, our rock. We place our trust in you to protect us on this journey. We want to follow your call and go where you lead us. We seek your strength and wisdom.

O Loving Yahweh, we call out to you, our living God. Thank you for being our place of safety and protection. Thank you for hearing and answering us. You are with us in both good and bad times. Our prayer is that we will never forget about you and will stay close to you.

I feel safe in your embrace today, Yahweh, and thank you for…

We see the road before us and call out to you to faithfully journey with us. Lift us over the low places and cover us through the storms. Be the cloud around us in the high places so we do not see the cliffs and fear going forward. Give us sure footing in icy and rough places. Give us strength to persevere so we may hold fast in the wind and rain. In all we do, we will celebrate your faithfulness.

With joy, we praise you!
