We enter your sacred prayer space, seeking your provisions for the day. We are hungry for your word, wisdom, and manna. You greet us with your loving embrace; Life-giving Spirit encircles and penetrates our being as we join you at your banquet table. “Receive my life,” you declare to us. The mountains tremble at the sound of your voice, and creation responds in celebration.

Give us your peace, so we will be content to remain on your Ancient Path. We will keep our eyes on you and the Faith-markers of our ancestors, so we will resist temptation and not stray from this path.

We sojourn together. We seek truth, not gossip. We will speak, act, and live honestly and honourably upon your Ancient Path, and greet each other in a good way.

Thank you for this precious time with you. Speak, LORD, for your servants are listening, wanting to draw near to you. Thank you for giving us what we need for the day, so we stay close to you.

We enter your sacred prayer space as your children. You chose us; you call us by name as we draw close to you. We have many questions about what we must do to remain with you. You reassure us that nothing can separate us from your love.

Blessed be your name, LORD of Creation. In the days of King David, you blessed David with the assurance that you would remain with his future generations. We believe your same assurance is for us. We praise you for your generosity and for answering our cries while we are in the land of the living.
