First Week in Lent, Monday, February 27, 2023
Loving Divine Family,
We enter your sacred prayer space to receive nourishment that can only come from you. You know us well, Yahweh. You have seen us flee from our circumstances, unprepared, on our own, without community. We have set out on empty stomachs, unsure of where we are going. We make poor decisions due to malnourishment and fear. We want to give up. But you lead us to a space at your table, and invite us to eat and drink with you.
Thank you, Yahweh; you are our God who sees us and keeps your promises to us. You are with us in our fear, sadness, and depression. Thank you for caring for our needs, especially when we have neglected our needs and forget to celebrate your goodness and miracles. Thank you for your provision and leading us on our journey to you and relationship with you.
I receive your nourishment today, O Yahweh, and thank you for…
Strengthened by this time with you, your spiritual food, and wisdom, we feel prepared to journey once again on your healing, Ancient Path. No enemy will harm us; no ill fate will befall us. You are our refuge and strength. We will journey and greet each other in a good way.
With joy, we praise you!
Amen!
