Nahum 1:1-13

Loving Divine Family,

We enter your sacred prayer space with a heavy yoke on our necks. You invite us to release our burdens to you, reminding us that they are not ours to carry. They are the yoke of expectations, and they do not come from you. You reveal that your yoke is never a burden unless we choose to resist your loving ways.

LORD God Almighty, thank you that in your mighty power, you are slow to anger. You love all of your creation, not just those who follow you. You long for a relationship with us. You are our shelter and safe place for us to receive your love. Thank you for caring for us. You are so good. We love you.

I feel you breaking the yoke of expectations from my neck today, O Yahweh, and thank you for…

Wherever we go, we see your presence. Within the storms, earthquakes and floods; within the calm waters, gentle breezes and rains–you are with us. We will see and be amazed, and rejoice to see your power, mercy, and love at all times and in all circumstances.

With joy, we praise you!

Amen!

Cherie and Donovan Mutschler
