Psalm 53:1-6
Fools say to themselves,
    “There is no God.”
Fools are evil and do terrible things;
    none of them does anything good.
God looked down from heaven on all people
    to see if anyone was wise,
    if anyone was looking to God for help.

But all have turned away.
    Together, everyone has become evil;
    none of them does anything good.
    Not a single person.

Don’t the wicked understand?
    They destroy my people as if they were eating bread.
    They do not ask God for help.
The wicked are filled with terror
    where there had been nothing to fear.
    God will scatter the bones of your enemies.
You will defeat them,
    because God has rejected them.

I pray that victory will come to Israel from Mount Zion!
    May God bring them back.
    Then the people of Jacob will rejoice,
    and the people of Israel will be glad.

Loving Divine Family,

We enter your sacred prayer space seeking your affirmation. So many in our world have lost sight of you and your ways. They call upon you to fight their battles but will not yield to you. They treat you like a genie in a bottle who should do their will. But you embrace us, reminding us that you count us among your children and have not forgotten your promise to never leave us.

Thank you, Divine Family, for calling us to return to your loving presence. We come together, recognizing we have gone our own way and done our own thing. Thank you for welcoming us into your loving embrace. We rejoice because we are forgiven and loved.

I feel your loving embrace today, Yahweh, and thank you for…

We hear your voice throughout the land. We hear your call to prepare the way of the LORD. You have prepared a path for us so we can journey together in your presence. We dance and rejoice, surrounded by your wonderful blessings.

With joy, we praise you!
