Twentieth Week After Pentecost, Monday, October 7, 2024
Loving Divine Family,
We cry out to you in agony and grief. We have suffered loss on all sides: friends and family members; personal health, jobs and livelihoods; reputations and status. Everything is at risk of death at any moment. Draw close to us in your sacred prayer space. Reassure us we are not alone.
Faithful loving God, you are in the mess of our lives, the mix, and in our midst. Thank you for this sacred time with you, when we can share our thoughts and feelings. Thank you for the people in our lives who listen to us so we can see you, and who do not judge us or speak lies about you. We look to you for comfort and relief.
I feel you drawing close to me today, Loving LORD, and thank you for…
You answer our prayers even before they are on our lips. You grace us with a community of believers, mentors, and Elders who speak truth to us. Open our ears, so we will hear your truth and compassion in all they tell us.
With joy we praise you!
Amen!
