We, your beloved, come to spend time with you, Loving Yahweh. In life, there are circumstances where our choices are “no win” situations, and we are helpless to those in power. Looking at the circumstances, we see pain, helplessness, and heartache. We turn to you; we see your light that takes us out of the darkness. You are in the mess, mixing everything together for goodness. Thank you for being with us in the pain.

From the four directions, we gather on shores, in parks and worship spaces, and at city halls. We are the needy–weary, sick, war-stricken, houseless, and scared. We are the privileged–wealthy, healthy, capable, and stable. Together, we are your community. You are in our midst. You invite us to remain and support each other.

Thank you, Loving Companion, for guiding us on life’s journey. Thank you for the skilled mentors who share their wisdom that protects and sustains us. We are eager to study, know and live out of your Word. Thank you for closing doors that no one can open. May we respect and honour the escorts who guide us.

You have called us out of our conditions. You redeemed us; you removed us from certain destruction. Instead, you placed us on high mountains to once again look upon the vast landscape you promised to us. We see the desolation of those who have chosen to not follow your guidance, but we also see your blessings stretching beyond the horizons. Your love is amazing!

Faithful Yahweh, just as you act with and show care for the present and future of humanity and creation, you call us to do the same. You ask us to be mindful of our work and responsibilities. Thank you for the invitation to live an honest life.

We gather in assemblies and at your Beautiful Gate. We greet and are received by many who are also journeying. We are refugees, wanderers, and outcasts; we are established and blessed when we are in your sacred prayer space. We bear witness to your presence as our everlasting God.
