We enter your sacred prayer space into a time of silent contemplation. We hear your voice whispering to us through the trees. They softly sing hymns of praise to you. We hear Mother Earth and Grandparent Rocks telling stories of ancient times. Their songs and stories hold mystical memories and wisdom; yet only in this contemplative silence with you can we hear their voices. Their voices are in the wind that does not blow except through Life-giving Spirit breathing into our innermost being.
Today, we invite you to ‘Reread, Rest and Reflect’ on the prayers of the past week:
Lectionary Readings for Today:
Psalm 138:1-8
Esther 4:1-17
Luke 8:22-25
We wait for you, LORD. Your day is near. Lift us from the darkness and set us on the good path of light and life that leads to eternity with you on your holy mountain. May we forever be in your presence. May we forever sing of your goodness.
With joy we praise you!
We are your royal priesthood, O LORD. We are your messengers in this world. Christ, as a light illumine and guide us. Christ, as a shield, overshadows us. Surround us on all sides and stay with us. Humble us to your wise guidance so we may walk surely on this path and greet each other in a good way, bringing you honour and glory.
Great Architect, you are always with us and hear our prayers. You give us the words to say and the strength, courage, and favour to ask for what we want. Thank you for restoring us with the newness of life and releasing us from broken-down dreams.
