We are battered by the wind and waves. We call out to you, “LORD, save us!” Fear and weariness cloud our eyes, and we do not see you. But you are here. You draw near to us, calming our fears and the storms within and around us.
Today, we invite you to reread, rest and reflect on the prayers of the past week.
Lectionary Readings for Today:
Psalm 26:1-8
Jeremiah 15:10-14
Matthew 8:14-17
Our eyes are on you, watching you, and wanting to be like you. Thank you, Divine Family, for your extravagant love. Thank you for showing us how to love, which leads to health, life, and healing.
Even before we seek you, your wisdom embraces us. Like the bird calls before morning, your wisdom wakes us to find your loving face looking at us. In this, your sacred prayer space, you invite us to pause and listen, so we will understand and see your salvation.
Great are you, LORD, you are gracious, compassionate, slow to anger, and rich in love. Our ancestors and previous generations tell us of your mighty acts. We meditate on your wonderful works, and we proclaim your handy-work. We love you, LORD.
Jehovah-Rapha (God who Heals), thank you for hearing our cry for healing. You, Loving God, are present and patient, even when we argue with you about how we are healed and cared for. Humble our hearts, so we will hear instead of commanding you.
