Unto the King Eternal, unto the King Immortal, unto the King Invisible, the only wise God. Unto the King be honour and glory, forever and ever! (1 Timothy 1:17)
Thank you for this precious time with you. Speak, LORD, for your servants are listening, wanting to draw near to you. Thank you for giving us what we need for the day, so we stay close to you.
Blessed be your name, LORD of Creation. In the days of King David, you blessed David with the assurance that you would remain with his future generations. We believe your same assurance is for us. We praise you for your generosity and for answering our cries while we are in the land of the living.
We enter your sacred prayer space together. You surround us and invite us to participate in your mystery. But you render many of our acts of righteousness useless to us, so you can have your way with us.
Give us your peace, so we will be content to remain on your Ancient Path. We will keep our eyes on you and the Faith-markers of our ancestors, so we will resist temptation and not stray from this path.
Today, we invite you to reread, rest, and reflect on the prayers of the past week.
