We enter your sacred prayer space with longings in our soul. We hear voices of our soul’s longing when we wake in the night. We hear them during the quiet times in the day. We hear them now, as the voices cry to Life-giving Spirit. Thank you for creating this space of such deep intimacy, where the veil is so thin between our souls and Life-giving Spirit, that we can participate freely in your mystery.
Loving Divine Family,
We enter your holy prayer space singing your praises and seeking your loving embrace. We find you here as you draw near to us. You wrap us in Life-giving Spirit’s loving embrace and breathe your life into us. This is what it feels like to be subjected to you – we are completely cared for.
We enter your sacred prayer space to draw near to you. We feel you draw near to us. We lift our arms to you; like children seeking your embrace, we reach out to you. You look upon us with a Creator’s affection for their creation. You embrace and hold us close. Guard our hearts and mouths today, so all our thoughts, feelings, words, and actions will be pleasing to you.
Today, we invite you to ‘Reread, Rest and Reflect’ on the prayers of the past week.
Lectionary Readings for Today:
Exodus 32: 7-14
Psalm 32:1-11
Luke 15:1-10
Loving Yahweh, thank you for the peace that fills us. Thank you for saving us, and for being our Loving King.
We begin this new year, this new journey, pondering and celebrating the blessings we have received. It gives us the strength and the faith to let go of what is holding us back and to receive our new names and the blessings. We pause here to spend sacred time with you, to remember to remember you and listen to you. Thank you for the landmarks, faith markers that remind us of your love for us and the blessings you have already given us. Word of God, speak; we your children are listening, relishing in the blessings.
