Isaiah 52:7-10
Hebrews 1:1-12
John 1:1-14
Protect us from the ways of the wicked. Give us your strength to withstand the temptations and invitations to dwell in the tents of the wicked. Be with our Elders and leaders, and give them your visions so we can follow and trust in you. We place our trust in you today.
Thank you, Loving God, that there is no place to hide from your mercy and grace. With grateful hearts we celebrate that we are blessed because our sins are forgiven, and you do not consider us guilty. In faith we follow and obey you, loving Yahweh.
By your divine guidance, we enter your sacred prayer space today, singing praises to you alone. All creation sings around us. Grandfather Sun and the waxing of Grandmother Moon call all creatures to attention. Trees send forth their buds in this new season. Pollinators wake in the warmth of spring. All manner of creatures sing songs to you in the morning.
We enter your sacred prayer space with longing in our hearts. You have laid your word and purpose within us. We worship and wait for you to fulfil your promises as we do your work. These times in your sanctuary fill us with peace. We look for nothing but your peaceful presence.
Today, we invite you to reread, rest and reflect on the prayers of the past week.
Lectionary Readings for Today:
Psalm 146:1-10
Proverbs 28:11-28
Luke 9:43-48
We enter your sacred prayer space, singing a new song and living in a new way. We have taken the good things from past generations, and, with your help, we are leaving behind the wicked ways. You open your windows and reveal to us the thunders of applause from all creation. All creatures and created things sing their ancient songs with us. Our new song is not new after all, but it is remembered in this generation.
