Eleventh Week after Pentecost, Friday, August 26, 2022 Proverbs 18:6-12 Loving Divine Family, We enter your sacred prayer space seeking…
Inspire us to walk out your dreams for us. When others see us living for you and seeking your heart, stir in them the desire to know you more. We seek you in the stillness of this quiet place and celebrate your presence with us.
We gather in your courts, at your Beautiful Gate, hoping that you will appear to us. All at once you are here; Life-giving Spirit rushes around us like a wind that does not blow. You are upon us like smoke from a sacred fire; like gentle flames, you kiss us and call us by name. We call out your name in response.
O loving God, you have been with us on this journey to the celebration of Jesus coming to our world. You are always with us, even when we do not acknowledge or listen to You. You fill us with your love and your breath. You are eternal; we are a moment. We are your creation, which you say is good and prove the goodness of creation and humankind by sending your son into our world. Your way brings peace and joy.
In the shadow of your wings, we will sing your praises, O Yahweh, we wait on you with courage and believe we shall see you in the land of the living. We seek you, LORD, and look to your eternal promises with hope.
Your love and mercy are boundless, LORD. Your ways are perfect. Creation will sing your praises forever. The winds blow, and seasons turn. Your love and kingdom shall never end. Praise to you, Yahweh, King of endless glory!
