Loving Divine Family,
We gather at your Beautiful Gate to celebrate your loving guidance. You invite us to be mindful of how we greet each other. The old way is full of folly and self-pleasure, lies and disobedience. Your new way is full of kindness and obedience, thoughtfulness and wisdom. We long for your ways, LORD!
Today, we invite you to ‘Reread, Rest and Reflect’ on the prayers of the past week.
Lectionary Readings for Today:
Psalm 80:1-7
Isaiah 66:7-11
Luke 13:31-35
We sing praises to you for your wondrous blessings. Your creation sings to you for all you have done. All created beings celebrate your grace, mercy, and love. You have never turned your loving gaze from us. You are always with us. Your blessings never cease. Your miracles are endless.
We gather together at your Beautiful Gate in worship and celebration. We are your Holy Priesthood from different walks of life and callings. We bring our gifts today and share them before you. These gifts are our sacrifice. We set aside our own agendas and devote ourselves to you. At the trumpet call, we all shout for joy and enter the sanctuary of your sacred prayer space. You surround us and hide our own desires from us so all we know is your perfect glory.
We are filled with gratitude, worship, and communion because of your mystery. We step onto the path you have prepared for us because of this sacred time with you. May we remember to remember your grace and tender mercies through the day and continue to thank you.
Ancient of Days, we are small creatures who do as the generations before us. Thank you that you are mindful of who we are and still long to be in a relationship with us. We do not often take time to remember your goodness and wisdom. We try to do it on our own. You remind us that there is nothing new under the sun. But on this day of Epiphany, we take time to remember to remember and give thanks for the gifts you have given us to take into the new year. Thank you, Jehovah Jireh (Our Provider).
