We see the world around us and feel concern about threats that are out of our control. War, famine, floods, climate change, pandemics, and so many other big concerns threaten us and our futures. But when we enter your sacred prayer space, we come face-to-face with you. We hear your voice in creation; we feel Life-giving Spirit in the wind around us. You remind us of your greatness and that you are still in control of the universe.
Loving Divine Family,
Your ways are so mysterious and wonderful! You come to us in our dreams and thoughts, and we are not afraid. We enter your sacred prayer space, and you welcome us with open arms like a parent welcoming the children home. You know the cries of our hearts and prepare all things for us in advance.
Thank you, Yahweh, for your loving presence guiding us and never leaving us. In our darkest moments, in the Dark Night of the Soul, you are there with us. Singing songs of praise and thanksgiving brings us comfort and strength. We receive your peace and ask for what we need.
I remember to remember your tender mercies today, Loving Yahweh, and thank you for…
We choose to walk in your light today, giving thanks and praise. Fill us with your breath so we can sing, rejoice, give thanks, and praise with a newfound joy.
O Faithful One, you never leave us and are searching for us. Thank you for showing your mercy to our ancestors and to us. Thank you for the people and creation showing us that we are loved and forgiven. Thank you for your faithfulness, the gift of faith, and for your breath as we journey to Bethlehem, the House of Bread.
We hear the invitation to examine our thoughts and not to hide them from you. You are patiently waiting for us to bring our thoughts into the open with you, so you can reveal to us your truth and ways. Thank you that you are not scandalized by our thoughts; you already know them. You want us to live as free people, not controlled by what we are hiding. Thank you that your ways are not our ways. Thank you that your words bring healing, restoration, life, and freedom.
