We gather together at your Beautiful Gate. You call us to be accountable to you and each other. You have provided wise Elders and Knowledge Keepers to teach us your ways. You assure us that you have provided all we need to follow your ways. As we enter your sacred prayer space, you embrace and celebrate us. You tell us that we are perfect in your sight, and that we have not failed.
Life-giving Spirit, thank you for walking with us. Thank you for your fruit that gives love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Thank you that when we walk with you and consume your fruit we ourselves produce the same qualities.
Your sunbeams kiss our cheeks, reminding us that you are with us. You are the same yesterday, today, and forevermore. Only you can fill our gardens and vineyards, fields and granaries. We will follow you alone, from this time forth and for all generations.
Thank you, Wind of the Spirit, for your life-giving breath that reveals the mysterious ways of the Divine Family. Thank you for sharing God’s secret wisdom that gives life. We relish and cherish the intimacy and the divine revelation.
Today, we invite you to ‘Reread, Rest and Reflect’ on the prayers of the past week.
Lectionary Readings for Today:
Where can we go that you have not already been? You are firstborn of all that is, has been, and ever will be. You were in the beginning with Life-giving Spirit when she breathed life into the darkness and over the waters, when creation was born. You walked through the gates of death to everlasting life so we could know that with you all things are possible.
