Today, we invite you to “Reread, Rest and Reflect” on the prayers of the past week.

Psalm 66:1-9

Luke 9:1-6
We, your people, want to bring you glory and honour. May we pursue righteousness, goodness, faith, love, endurance, and gentleness. Thank you for your generosity that is beyond all measure. May we follow your example and be generous to ourselves, with each other, and to creation.
Quiet our minds so we will have pure thoughts. Be in our eyes and ears so we will see and hear you all around us. Press your lips to our ears and remind us of your never-ending love for us and of our place in your family tree.
Wait and trust the LORD.
Don’t be upset when others get rich
or when someone else’s plans succeed.
Don’t get angry.
Don’t be upset; it only leads to trouble.
Loving Divine Family,
We seek you through winter’s frost. The chill in the air seeks to place fear before us on our paths. But we press on as best we can, not always knowing if our ways are true. Draw near to us and reveal the dark places in our hearts so we may feel your touch and reassurance that we are on the right path.
We enter your sacred prayer space seeking your guidance. We long to do what is right in our lives according to your ways and the values you have placed within us. But the accumulation of wealth is a temptation to us, and we find ourselves looking down the dark alleyways of greed and dishonesty. Draw near to us so we will stay on your good path.
How blessed we truly are, that you desire the best of the best for us. Yet we so often reject your blessings. We are content with human-made household items. We think we have the corner on the market, the best we can get. But here in this, your holy prayer space, you reveal your true riches, spiritual food, and wealth beyond comprehension. You patiently wait for us to accept that we are heirs to all you have.
