God of peace, we, your beloved people, sing your praises along with creation. We openly acknowledge you are the Creator of the Universe and our God. We worship you alone. Thank you for being the same today, yesterday, and forever. May our sacrifice of praise, which leads to life and relationship, bring joy to you.
Today, we invite you to ‘Reread, Rest and Reflect’ on the prayers of the past week.

We gather at your Beautiful Gate as your community of believers. We are ready to journey once again on your Holy Way, towards your Holy Mountain. As we journey, you are with us and tell us your promises to prosper and not harm us. We used to walk in fear and darkness, but you tell us we do not need to be afraid anymore.
We see the world around us and feel concern about threats that are out of our control. War, famine, floods, climate change, pandemics, and so many other big concerns threaten us and our futures. But when we enter your sacred prayer space, we come face-to-face with you. We hear your voice in creation; we feel Life-giving Spirit in the wind around us. You remind us of your greatness and that you are still in control of the universe.
We are grateful, healing, supportive God, that you hear the cries of our heart and are with us. You send people to come alongside us to sing songs of lament to help us express our grief so you can turn our mourning into joy. Thank you that in our deepest, darkest sorrow, you provide community to surround us in love. Thank you that the joy of the Lord makes us strong.
You meet us in the wilderness, LORD; you bring light in the darkness, and illuminate your path for us. Your promise remains to answer our call to you. We see your light break on the horizon to show us your new way, replacing our cries with songs of praise.
