Today, we invite you to ‘Reread, Rest and Reflect’ on the prayers of the past week:

Psalm 25:1-10
John 3:16-21
We enter your sacred prayer space, calling out your name. We have wandered from your presence, distracted by the business and challenges of our lives. In an instant, you find us and lift us from our condition. You reveal that you are always with us, just as you have always been with our ancestors. You have given us the heritage of those who worked, worshipped, and waited with you on earth, and who also now sing your praises and cheer us on in the heavenly realm.
Today, we invite you to reread, rest and reflect on the prayers of the past week.
Lectionary Readings for Today:
Genesis 6:11-22
Psalm 122:1-9
Matthew 24:1-22
Your ways are not our ways, LORD. We remember to remember that our pressing and difficult circumstances are part of your refining mystery in our lives. You know better than we do what lies ahead and what we must prepare for. We let go of the need to know why, so we can participate in your mystery and greet each other in a good way.
Open our eyes to the dangers around us. Open our ears to the wise Elders you have sent to us. Open our hearts to feel compassion for those in our care. Give us all we need to build shelters and protection for all you have entrusted to us.
O loving, powerful God, we join together to sing your praises. You, Divine Family, are loyal to your creation, including us. Thank you for keeping your promises and taking care of those who are in trouble. We feel your closeness and loving mercy. We praise you.
Establish your kingdom in us, O LORD. Complete in us the story you began with our ancestors, the story that you planned when Life-giving Spirit first breathed on the waters. We accept your invitation to participate in your mystery.
