O Loving Yahweh, the world is so loud telling us to do more! Buy more! And the environment and pandemic are getting worse. The world says there is no god or God has abandoned us. The world wants to rob us of our joy. But in this moment, we breathe in your life-giving breath and listen to what you tell us in our innermost beings. We hear your gentle whisper reminding us that you are with us, you will save us and make us strong. You are faithful and trustworthy. Thanks to you all-loving, nurturing God for remembering us.
Dress our wounds with your healing balm, Great Healer. We feel the relief of your miraculous ways. We marvel at your mystery. We will tell of your mercy and healing to all who will listen. Be in the ears of those to whom we speak, so nations will know that you are the one true God.
Divine Family, we come before you in awe. We bow our hearts and minds before you, recognizing you are our LORD and Creator. Thank you for your words of wisdom that teach etiquette, so we can live our lives in peace with ourselves and each other. Thank you for providing amazing food and for taking delight in sharing with us.
We are grateful, healing, supportive God, that you hear the cries of our heart and are with us. You send people to come alongside us to sing songs of lament to help us express our grief so you can turn our mourning into joy. Thank you that in our deepest, darkest sorrow, you provide community to surround us in love. Thank you that the joy of the Lord makes us strong.
Jesus answered them, “It is not the healthy people who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to invite good people but sinners to change their hearts and lives.”
