We hear your reassurance not to be afraid and to know you; Loving God, you are with us. We sing your praises with joyful hearts. Only you can repay the years the locusts have eaten. Thank you for a new way of doing things. Thank you for the new grain, new wine, and new olive oil. Thank you for pouring out your Spirit on us.
Be glorified in our lives, LORD. We will celebrate your stories of mercy and love in our lives throughout the generations. You have chosen us to dance this ancient dance of celebration the same as you chose to celebrate with our ancestors. So, we will dance, and glorify your name, now and always.
Thank you, Loving Divine Family, for giving us strength and standing by us. Thank you for saving us from evil actions. We sing together “To God be the glory” (Fanny Crosby, To God Be the Glory).
We enter your sacred prayer space, drawn by your mystery. We look to you for comfort. Nations are at war; we remain at the mercy of viruses and pandemics that threaten our existence. You wrap us in your mighty arms and press your lips to our ears. We feel your breath on our necks and hear your gentle voice: “Receive my grace. My mercy covers all creation, and it covers you. You are at no other mercy but mine.”
Thank you, Loving God, for the gifts of friendship and community. Thank you for the opportunity to come together and present our prayers to you. You know our hearts and you love us anyway.
