Loving Divine Family, you are our strength. Thank you that your ways are not our ways. Knowing our hearts, thoughts, behaviours and motives, you lead us, protect us, and help us obey you. Thank you for taking us the long way, so we do not have to engage in the battle.
Your robe clothes our nakedness and restores us. We find rest in your presence. Your robe is your grace and peace. Your robe is all we need. You receive us as we are. We shall journey together in a good way as your beloved children, and enter your eternal courts with songs of praise and singing. We will forever be in your presence, in the presence of your throne of grace.
We enter your sacred prayer space in the transitions of life. You greet us with your welcoming kiss and warm embrace. You remind us of how Jesus gave wise teachings to his disciples as a way to help them prepare for his transition from human life to everlasting life. We hear your teachings and seek your wisdom. We need your comfort.
We look across your landscape–this sacred prayer space you have created–and marvel at your wonderful works. You give and take honourably throughout this landscape. We feel Life-giving Spirit surrounding us. We feel your life coursing through us–this same heartbeat shared by all creation.
We enter your sacred prayer space, seeking new life. You reveal to us that to gain life, we must first lose our lives. We fear these transitions–the unknown that comes from letting go of what we know or what we can control. You draw near, meeting us in the seclusion of our fears and doubts. Life-giving Spirit falls upon us, and we feel your peaceful presence.
In this ordinary time, you remind us of the dangers that lurk in the darkness when we let down our guards. Speak, so we will hear your voice and remain near you. Shine in this landscape of our lives, so no evil will take up residence within us.
