Loving Shepherd, we cry out to you. We need you–your grace, your peace, and your love. Renew us; stay close to us. The warmth of your love brings us such joy.
We will encourage and lift others in all we say and do. We will rejoice and give thanks in all circumstances, knowing that what seems impossible to us is already conquered by you.
We enter your sacred prayer space as your children–innocent in your eyes, full of passion for life and love. You have made us aware of our humanness. We lust and long for each other. You fill the air with pure thoughts. They shower around us, and we feel your perfect love.
Thank you, loving God, for breathing life into us. Thank you for your words of wisdom that give us energy and strength. Thank you for our friends, mentors, guides, and community who are imitators of Christ. They bring us hope, joy, and honour.
Our choices and selfish ambition sometimes land us in temples of those who oppress us. We may be tempted to lash out in revenge for how we are treated. But praise be to you, for you are with us even in these places; you surround us in your sacred prayer space when we cry out to you.
