Loving Yahweh, thank you for calling us by the name you gave us, and not the names with which the world labels us. The blessing was not just for Abraham, but for Sarah as well. You promised her, and fulfilled the promise that she would be the mother of nations.
We come to your Beautiful Gate today sharing your peace with one another. “May the peace of the Creator be with you and with your spirit.” Your peace, O LORD, is the same peace sung by the cantors in the time of David. They prayed for security and peace for Jerusalem. They prayed for us! LORD have mercy!
All praise and glory to you, LORD! You have taught us how to seek solitude to pray with you! In your sacred prayer space, you show us your new ways and encourage us to step out of the chains of old ways that serve only to bind us. Though we resist you, your love and patience surround us so we may listen and understand, so we may be prepared for what you are calling us to.
We, your faithful people, quiet ourselves so we can hear you. We remember to remember the people of faith from old and new to hear their stories that spur us on to believe and hope for you and your promises. We truly want to find you. Our hearts desire is to step out in faith with you.
Thank you for calling us back into a relationship with You. We giggle with delight at how you want to bless us. You invite us to step out in faith and create space for you to bless us. Thank you, Loving Divine Family, that you are with us and do not want us to be ashamed or disgraced. Just the opposite, you want us to be blessed, your chosen people.
