Twelfth Week After Pentecost, Sunday, August 11, 2024
Loving Divine Family,
How pleasant are the walks with you in your meadows, along your lakeshores. This is your sacred prayer space. You show us dragonflies feasting on other flying insects, fish hunting for food, and birds picking berries from nearby trees. There is no stealing or lying, no greed or envy. We see mutual respect, honourable giving and receiving, and perfect reciprocity. You tell us to be more like these.
Loving God, you care for us. Thank you for the reminder not to stay angry, as it leads to bitterness, rage, and harm for ourselves and others. Thank you for the invitation to be generous to ourselves and others in both actions and our words.
I follow your examples in your garden today, Loving Creator, and thank you for…
Grant us peace, so we will pause and silence ourselves to hear your teachings. Give us eyes to see your perfect ways in creation, and wisdom to be like the dragonflies, fish, and birds.
With joy we praise you!
Amen!
Cherie and Donovan Mutschler
