Isaiah 58:9b-14

Loving Divine Family,

We enter your sacred prayer space hungry for your nourishing spiritual food. You greet and welcome us, offering the best seat and provisions that perfectly match all our needs. Your mercy and love cover us completely; like the wings of a mighty eagle, you stretch your grace to every horizon. You remind us that we may choose whether or not to acknowledge you and live according to your ways. Your promise for a good life is sure if we choose to honour you.

LORD of the Sabbath, we call to you and you answer us. Thank you for encouraging us to care for those who are hungry and oppressed. Thank you for your guidance and satisfying our needs. Thank you; Sabbath is like a date, precious time for us to spend with you. Where we can hear you say, “I love you.” May we treasure and honour it and not see it as a burden.

I choose to follow your ways and wisdom today, Mighty Yahweh, and thank you for…

Out of your answer to the prayers of our ancestors, you lift us out of the darkness. They prayed for your blessings to fall upon their descendants, that you would sustain and honour, and build upon the foundation you first built with them. You call us to be the generation to fulfil the ancient promises you made to our ancestors. We step forward on your ancient path, ready to follow you and bring honour to our ancestors and to you.

With joy we praise you!

Amen!

Cherie and Donovan Mutschler
