John 1:1-14

Loving Divine Family,

We enter your sacred prayer space, O Word of God! What wondrous love! What wondrous light! Breaking over the horizon, creation bursts forth in song, joining with angels and those in the heavenly realm! Gloria! You have met us in our darkness. Your time has come. We bow down and bring our best selves to you now!

Thank you, Jesus, for becoming flesh and blood and living among us. Thank you for becoming vulnerable and dependent, showing us how to be in relationship with God and others, and how to obey. You light the way in the darkness. Praise to you that the darkness does not overcome the light.

I sing praises and come to worship you today, O Word of God, and thank you for…

Angels foretold you; prophets spoke of you. All creation, throughout the generations, has pointed to your birth. Life-giving Spirit encircles us, and we are glad. She folds over us, breathes through us, and whispers with unmistakable thunder: “This is only the beginning.”

With joy we praise you!
