Psalm 71:1-6
In you, Lord, is my protection.
    Never let me be ashamed.
Because you do what is right, save and rescue me;
    listen to me and save me.
Be my place of safety
    where I can always come.
Give the command to save me,
    because you are my rock and my strong, walled city.
My God, save me from the power of the wicked
    and from the hold of evil and cruel people.
Lord, you are my hope.
    Lord, I have trusted you since I was young.
I have depended on you since I was born;
    you helped me even on the day of my birth.
    I will always praise you.
(New Century Version (NCV))

Loving Divine Family,

We enter your sacred prayer space seeking your peaceful presence and reassurance. This world threatens us, and we feel hard-pressed on many sides. But you remove the threats and pressures from our backs like a host taking our coats as we enter your presence. You assure us that we do not need to be bothered by what you do with these old coats because we will not need them again. Instead, you give us new coverings of your protection and strength. You reassure us that you walk with us on our journey, and we feel great comfort.

O, Loving Yahweh, thank you for leading and guiding us.You hear our cry that we don’t want to be ashamed, and you answer by giving us protection and reassurance that you are with us. You are our safe place and you give us hope. Thank you for protecting us from evil and showering us with your love.

I feel your protection covering me today, Loving Yahweh, and thank you for…

As we venture forth along our path, may you continue to clear the way. Be our strength and guard us on all sides from dangers of this world. May we step forward trusting completely in you, without shame. May we greet each other in a good way as we journey together.

With joy we praise you!

Amen!
