1 Kings 3:5-12

Loving Divine Family,

Who are we, that we should ask anything of you? You know our hearts’ desires. You are ready and willing to give to us freely, even before we know what we want or need. But you invite us to join in your mystery in this sacred prayer space, and to give voice to our desires.

Thank you, Listening God, for your extravagant love. Thank you for showering our ancestors and us with this extravagant love. You hear our prayers and answer them. We ask for a listening heart and an understanding mind, so that we can bring honour to you and care for your creation.

I hear your invitation to dialogue with you today, O LORD, and thank you for…

Forbid it, LORD, that we should seek for you to serve us or allow us to follow our selfish ambitions. Place within us your servant heart, so as we journey together on your Ancient Path, we will seek instead to follow your ways and take care of others.

With joy we praise you!

Amen!

Cherie and Donovan Mutschler
