Luke 9:51-62

Loving Divine Family,

We come to your sacred prayer space seeking a relationship with you. You welcome us in and reveal to us that you are always near, and your invitation to participate in your mystery is constant and not based on our timing or requests. How often are the times you knock on the door of our hearts only for us to ignore you or say, “not now, LORD, I’m busy!” Yet, you still invite us, and never turn your face away from us.

We, your people, come together to spend time with you. Thank you, Yahweh, whatever you require of us helps us in the moment and prepares us for what will come next. Thank you for encouraging us to keep moving forward in peace.

I hear your invitation to participate in your mystery today, Loving LORD, and thank you for…

Call us out of our comfort zones so we will learn to follow you without fear or regret. Give us the courage we need to leave worldly customs and traditions behind so we will devote ourselves to your new way. You are our Loving LORD. In your embrace we find the never-ceasing invitation to be in relationship with you.

With joy we praise you!

Amen!

Cherie and Donovan Mutschler
