2 Timothy 3:14-4:5

Loving Divine Family,

We enter your sacred prayer space, contemplating your charge for us. We hear of false teachers and evangelists who cater to people seeking fulfilment of their own purpose. Their messages are like reeds tossing in the wind, with no direction or firm foundation. As we listen to your true teachings, you remind us that you were already preparing us in the womb; Life-giving Spirit breathes life and gifts into us to serve as strength for our journey. You remind us to follow your wise teachings and Elders so we will stay true to you.

Author and Foundation of our lives, your Word is true and brings life and healing. We know this full well. Thank you, your breath is alive and active in us. Thank you for the gift of your scripture that has stood the test of time. Thank you, your Word is true yesterday, today, and tomorrow. We accept the invitation to follow its instructions.

I hear your charge for me today, O LORD, and thank you for…

Give us strength to focus and persevere, so we will resist false teachings and instead focus on your path. Give us all we need for our journey, so we can share stories of your provisions and promises. Be in the heart of all to whom we tell our stories and in the mouth of all who tell their stories to us.

With joy we praise you!

Amen!

Cherie and Donovan Mutschler
