Fifteenth Week After Pentecost, Sunday, September 1, 2024
Loving Divine Family,
We enter your sacred prayer space with a wealth of worldly knowledge. We have learned to fabricate pre-conceived responses to all we hear, including your word and teachings. But your ways are different and mysterious. You instruct us to give you all our answers and instead empty ourselves so you can fill us with your wisdom.
Gracious, merciful God, your steadfast love, kindness, and generosity never change. We hear the invitation to be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry. Reveal evil for us and help us get rid of it. May we live lives that reflect your loving kindness.
I empty myself to you today, All-knowing Saviour, and thank you for…
Fill us overflowing with your wisdom. Silence the Deceiver who speaks in our ears with voices of human folly. Enlighten us with your mysterious wisdom, so that we will respond with right actions, consistent and pleasing to you.
With joy we praise you!
Amen!
