Thank you, loving Yahweh, for the gift of community, who are travelling with us and leading us so we can follow and obey you. Thank you for speaking to us, so we can hear you. Thank you, LORD, that when we ask, “who are you Lord?”, you reveal yourself to us individually in meaningful ways.
We enter your sacred prayer space from the seemingly mundaneness of the day. We are on the mountainside, unaware that we are so close to you. But you are here and call us to come close. You reveal the holiness of this place and command us to remove our shoes out of respect. You call us to consider the sacredness of this time and place.
Each day, each hour, each new step on this journey, are all ordained by you. You anoint our heads with oil and proclaim us heirs to all that is yours. You send us to journey throughout creation as your loving caretakers. We will see these faith-markers and remember to remember your blessings and promises, throughout the generations.
We begin this new year, this new journey, pondering and celebrating the blessings we have received. It gives us the strength and the faith to let go of what is holding us back and to receive our new names and the blessings. We pause here to spend sacred time with you, to remember to remember you and listen to you. Thank you for the landmarks, faith markers that remind us of your love for us and the blessings you have already given us. Word of God, speak; we your children are listening, relishing in the blessings.
We enter your sacred prayer space as inhabitants of your Holy City. You greet us as we enter and proclaim to us, “You are not only inhabitants; you are residents. Even more, you are key-holders, and heirs of all that is seen and unseen. It is already done; there is nothing you need to do to earn my inheritance.”

Your promise is true for us, O LORD. All we have experienced on our journey is for our eternal gain. We have journeyed with you and each other in a good way. As we continue our journey with you, we will remember to remember that great joy is waiting for us at the end of this holy, ancient path.
Thank you, Loving Yahweh, for remembering us and yearning for us. Thank you for your loving compassion. Thank you for the road signs and guideposts that lead us back home; lead us back to you.
We gather at your Beautiful Gate with the community of believers. We come to praise you for your awesome deeds. Your light has come! Your ear has been pressed to our lips throughout the generations. You have heard our cries. You told our ancestors to take comfort, that their darkness was for just a little while longer. Now, your time has come!
What warmth and joy are ours, as we see you smiling at us with such love and delight. We were part of your plan from the beginning. What wondrous love! What wondrous light!
