Who are we, that we should ask anything of you? You know our hearts’ desires. You are ready and willing to give to us freely, even before we know what we want or need. But you invite us to join in your mystery in this sacred prayer space, and to give voice to our desires.

Today, we invite you to reread, rest and reflect on the prayers of the past week.

Psalm 26:1-8
Jeremiah 15:10-14
Matthew 8:14-17

Hallelujah, LORD, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. We gather on the shore, in parks and places of worship, and at city halls; we all seek your healing, hope, and compassion. We find you here, in these sacred spaces. We receive food, shelter, and peace. But we also find scorn and judgement from those who think we should just get better and rise above our conditions.

We see the signs of your love for us. Dry places bring forth fruit, rough spots on our path are made smooth. All things occur because of your loving hands upon creation, like a potter’s hands upon the clay. We join in songs of joy, as we all worship you in the time of harvest.

It brings joy and comfort knowing you, Loving Yahweh; remember us. Thank you for being with us in the storms and for your provision and protection. Thank you for the companionship of community and creation along life’s journey.
