First Week in Lent, Thursday, March 2, 2023

2 Timothy 1:3-7

Loving Divine Family,

We enter your sacred prayer space giving thanks for those who have gone before us. You walked with them as you walk with us now. They faithfully held your Word and wisdom in their hearts; they told stories of your ways and miracles. Together with them, you left faith-markers to give us hope, and provide a reason to pause and remember.

Thank you, loving God, for our ancestors and the community whose prayers for us lead us to joyous victory. Thank you for the mentors, community, leaders, and water-carriers who teach us to honour you. Thank you, Life-Giving Spirit, for giving us power, love, and self-discipline so we can live a life of faith and joy.

I take a selah moment and remember your goodness throughout the ages today, O Yahweh, and thank you for…

We fan into flame the gifts of your Word and wisdom, mentors, leaders, water-carriers, faith-markers and stories of your faithfulness. We feel courage from knowing that you walk this Ancient Path with us. We will journey together in a good way.
