Ascension of the LORD, Thursday, May 18, 2023
Loving Divine Family,
We enter your sacred prayer space, marvelling at your mystery. You have shown us the ultimate transition from life as we know it, to life as you know it. You call us to participate in your mystery too, not as bystanders, but as workers with you. We hold now to your promise that you will always be with us.
Thank you, your time is perfect–you are never too late or too early, but right on time. Thank you, LORD, for creating the space for us to ask the questions. Thank you for giving us instructions to wait in community for the gifts you will reveal to us.
I hold to your promises today, O LORD, and thank you for…
Give us strength to obey, so we will stay in this place until your appointed time. Give us wisdom to understand your purposes and goals, so we will not stray by our own assumptions or desires. We place our trust in you, and prepare together for your return.
With joy we praise you!
Amen!
