Fifteenth Week After Pentecost, Thursday, September 5, 2024
Loving Divine Family,
We are surrounded by those who go after ill-gotten gains. They kill and steal from each other. Even their children are not safe and are dragged into disaster. They invite us to join them. Their collection of loot tempts us. But here, in your sacred prayer space, you show us their fate and our assurance.
Loving God, thank you for teaching us skills for living. We hear the invitation to listen to the wise and add their learning to our toolbox for right living. We humble ourselves before you. Grant us wisdom and self-control.
I hold onto your assurance today, Loving LORD, and thank you for…
Surround us with your ancient wisdom. Give us the voice of Elders and our ancestors to guide us in your ways. Show us their Faith-markers and tell us their stories, so that we will be steeped in your wisdom and our days will be long in this land.
With joy we praise you!
Amen!
