Psalm 51:1-10

Loving Divine Family,

We enter your sacred prayer space seeking your forgiveness and truth. Surely, we were born into family and worldly systems full of corruption and selfish gratification. Our ancestors struggled with the same indoctrinations that we have also come to know. But they also walked with you, seeking your heart. They turned to you and sought to leave behind the ways of sin and deceit. In this space today, reveal to us your perfect ways.

Oh LORD, our God, we have sinned against you both intentionally and unintentionally. We bow our hearts and minds as we confess our sin to you and with joy we receive your forgiveness, as we forgive ourselves. Create in us a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within us, that turns to joy and gladness.

I seek to follow you and not my old ways today, Loving Yahweh, and thank you for…

Cast us not away from your presence, O LORD, and take not your Holy Spirit from us. Restore to us the joy of your salvation, and uphold us with the love of Life-giving Spirit in our midst. Today, we seek to repair and restore our relationships with you and those around us, so we may greet each other in a good way.

With joy we praise you!

Amen!
