Hebrews 4:14-5:10

Loving Divine Family,

We enter your sacred prayer space to pause, find rest, and selah. We carry with us the heavy burdens of our sins. We are weighed down with regret, despair, fear, guilt, and so many other burdens. But you, LORD, invite us to hand over our sins at the door so we can receive your new garments of praise.

Thank you, Jesus, Son of God, for being our high priest who has compassion for us and supports us. Without fear and reservation we enter into dialogue and prayers with God, knowing with confidence we will not be turned away because of your prayers for us. Thank you for revealing to us that our prayers are heard by our prayer-listening, prayer-answering God.

I faithfully leave my burdens with you so you can dress me in your new garments today, O Yahweh, and thank you for…

With your new garments, we are clothed for this Lenten journey. We have paused to receive your blessings and wisdom as we prepare for the next steps. Turn our pile of sins and burdens into faith-markers for ourselves and others, so we will remember your boundless love and mercy.

With joy we praise you!

Amen!

Cherie and Donovan Mutschler
