Second Week after Christmas, Tuesday, January 3, 2023

Genesis 28:10-22

Loving Divine Family,

We enter your sacred prayer space, carrying faith-markers as we journey. Like ornaments we have hung on our Christmas trees, we wish to place these markers as reminders of your presence with us along our path. Surely, you have been with us always; you are our light in the darkness, and our strength in times of doubt.

Thank you for this holy, sacred time. This is an awesome place because you are here with us. We quiet ourselves so we can hear you. Thank you for preparing our hearts and minds to receive your epiphany. Thank you for watching over us and leading us. May we bring you joy as we commune with you.

I place a faith-marker here today, O Yahweh, and thank you for…

Each day, each hour, each new step on this journey, are all ordained by you. You anoint our heads with oil and proclaim us heirs to all that is yours. You send us to journey throughout creation as your loving caretakers. We will see these faith-markers and remember to remember your blessings and promises, throughout the generations.

With joy we praise you!

Loving Divine Family,

We call to you from the wilderness. We see your light on the horizon. It quickly overtakes us and your voice vibrates the earth. “Where have you been? What are you doing here?” you ask. We have sought wisdom and folly in this world, Yahweh, and have tried to find meaning from the works of our hands. But we are lost! It makes no difference! But Life-giving Spirit wraps us like a newborn baby and you press your lips to our ears. You invite us to seek you with our whole heart, not with human wisdom.
