1 John 2:1-6

Loving Divine Family,

We enter your sacred prayer space seeking your guidance for the day. You travelled the earth in human form as a guest in our homes, as a teacher, Rabbi, healer, and friend. Throughout your travels, you taught your disciples and all who would listen. Now, as we are also journeying through this life upon the earth, we look to your word and wisdom to teach us still. We want to welcome you into this space, but you, instead, welcome and serve us, sharing your wisdom with us once again.

We hear Wisdom sharing with us what it means to be your children, your people. We are reminded not to sin. However, you know us so well, you want us to be in relationship with you. Thank you, Jesus, your blood covers our sins. Thank you, Jesus, for advocating on our behalf and showing us how to live our lives. Thank you, Holy Spirit, for revealing God’s love and truth. We love you, LORD, and we obey your word.

I receive your wisdom today, Loving LORD, and thank you for…

Before we trip, you point out the obstacles on our path. When we stumble, you catch us from falling. When we wander, your gentle arms guide us back to your path and welcome us into your embrace. Only by your divine intervention and grace can we say we are forgiven. Only by your divine intervention and grace can we forgive ourselves and others. Fill us with your mercy so we will sojourn with you and greet each other in a good way.

With joy we praise you!
