1 Samuel 8:1-22

Loving Divine Family,

We enter your sacred prayer space, seeking your guidance. So often, we come to you with our agendas, asking you to bless our human desires. You give us wise Elders in our community, who you have chosen to relate to us, as they hear your voice.

Yahweh, you are our God, our Father. You love us and want a relationship with us. We want to do things our way, not your way. Thank you for loving us, for the warnings of what will happen and for being with us, even when we leave you.

I listen to your wise Elders today, Loving LORD, and thank you for…

Prevent us from grumbling when we do not get our way, LORD. Call us back to you when we listen to the voices of others and stray from the safety of your shelter.

With joy we praise you!
