We enter your sacred prayer space, feeling pressed on all sides. You give us a glimpse of your mighty arms embracing us. Your breath is on our necks. Your lips are upon our ears. We hear you whisper: “I will not allow you to be crushed.” We relax in your embrace.

Loving God, we cry out to you for salvation; hear our prayer. We are helpless, suffering, and we turn to you. You are faithful; you fulfil your word. Save us; heal us.

Loving Yahweh, praise to you for calling us out of the darkness and bringing us into your light. Thank you for your mercy.

Today, we invite you to reread, rest and reflect on the prayers of the past week.

Our choices and selfish ambition sometimes land us in temples of those who oppress us. We may be tempted to lash out in revenge for how we are treated. But praise be to you, for you are with us even in these places; you surround us in your sacred prayer space when we cry out to you.

We enter your sacred prayer space as your children– chosen and called by name, we come to you. We are hard-pressed on all sides; yet, here we are. We have persevered. We count our successes like diamonds in our hands. You gather us in, revealing to us that it is only by your grace that we are still standing.
