Luke 6:6-11

Loving Divine Family,

We gather at your Beautiful Gate listening to your teachings and wisdom. We have heard your instruction to find sabbath rest and to keep the Sabbath holy. But you have also taught us to give freely to others in need. You call us to live in community and support each other, even on the Sabbath day.

O LORD, our Creator, our Healer, we gather together, some of us broken, tired, and/or bitter. Thank you for the invitation to spend time with you, so we can be healed, to have an abundant life.

I hear your teachings today, Loving LORD, and thank you for…

Your wisdom is for all people of every generation. We praise you for your new ways that lift us out of living under laws that we cannot live up to. Now you have given us new possibilities to live into. Your new way is the path to everlasting rest with you, and we step faithfully together, trusting in you.

With joy we praise you!
