Tenth Week of Ordinary Time, Wednesday, August 9, 2023
Loving Divine Family,
From the four directions, we gather on shores, in parks and worship spaces, and at city halls. We are the needy–weary, sick, war-stricken, houseless, and scared. We are the privileged–wealthy, healthy, capable, and stable. Together, we are your community. You are in our midst. You invite us to remain and support each other.
Thank you for looking upon us with eyes of compassion and not through the lens of burden. Thank you for taking delight in spending time with us and meeting our spiritual, physical, and emotional needs. We are grateful for your care and provision for us and the ability to rest in your love.
I rest in your love today, O LORD, and thank you for…
We hold tight to your promise that you will never leave or forsake us. Protect us from those who wish to send us away and scatter us. Draw near and hear our cries. We remain focused on your unfailing love.
With joy we praise you!
Amen!
Cherie and Donovan Mutschler
