Matthew 1:1-17

Loving Divine Family,

We enter your sacred prayer space, singing songs of love and joy. We are joyful because of how you love us. How intricate, Loving Creator, are the plans you have for us! Forty-two documented, detailed generations in Old Testament times tell stories of how you have guided our ancestors on the Ancient Path that is your Holy Way. You remind us, now, that these, and so many other stories yet to discover, also tell of our personal journeys.

Thank you for the scarlet cord of hope and redemption that weaves through the generations. Thank you for covering us with Christ’s scarlet blood. Thank you for the women mentioned in Jesus’ genealogy who show us how to be people of faith. They show us how to create room to see and hear you, how to be companions, and how to forgive.

I consider my journey on your Ancient Path today, Loving Creator, and thank you for…

Your design and plan for each of us is unique and wonderful. You have placed us together on this path, your Holy Way. We hear stories of those who have gone before us. We want to know more. We journey together in wonder.

With joy we praise you!

Amen!

Cherie and Donovan Mutschler
