Matthew 9:14-17

Loving Divine Family,

We enter your sacred prayer space seeking a new way. You shine your light across our landscape to reveal your Ancient Path, where our ancestors once walked. On this path, we can experience all things new as we journey in your ways. But you tell us we must choose to fully depart from our old ways, and return only to you. You invite us to remove our old rags so you can dress us in your new robe for our journey.

Divine Family, thank you for drawing us into intimacy with you. Thank you for sharing this time of celebration and joy with us. Thank you for initiating relationship with us. It is not a relationship of duty but one of love and respect. We hear the invitation to let go of the old way and receive the new way.

I remove my old rags and give them to you today, O LORD, and thank you for…

We rejoice to find you waiting for us to step onto your Ancient Path today. Dress us in your new robe. You have promised to be with us forever and that you will never leave or forsake us. We join in your mystery as we faithfully journey with you.

With joy we praise you!
